By booking and/or joining our tour you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions below.

Fálkaklettur Via ferrata is built, owned and operated by Fjallafélagið ehf. (The Icelandic Mountain Company), ID NO 560909-1010, at Skeifan 19, 108 Reykjavik, Iceland (referred to as “we”, “us” or “our” in these terms).

Please arrive promptly at the time of your booked tour at our Meeting Point Sign at Mt Esja parking lot. A map and details of the meeting location are provided on our website as well as on your voucher/ticket which is provided upon booking via email. If you arrive late you may miss the tour. There is no refund for late arrivals or no-shows.

The weather changes fast in Iceland and we may need to cancel your tour due to weather conditions. In such an event you will be fully refunded. We take no responsibility for any loss or inconvenience resulting from cancellation of your tour due to weather or other events outside our control.

Please observe that Fálkaklettur Via ferrata is an activity that takes place in nature. Although we have strived to make the activity and the environment as safe as possible it may be unsafe unless all necessary caution is used. You must therefore show care and caution, and at all times take full note of your surroundings. You must not remove any of the safety equipment we may provide and you must observe and fully comply with any instructions given by our personnel.

We take no responsibility or liability for damage to belongings, physical injury, accidents, sickness, or other type of loss you may incur before, during or after our tour. This includes but is not limited to accidents resulting from a fall, incorrect use of safety equipment and falling rocks. With the purchase of your tour you agree to these conditions, understand its implications and accept responsibility for your participation in your tour.

Liability Release will need to be signed by each participant and/or parent prior to activity. The link for the waivers will be in your confirmation email. Please pass it along to all group members. Registered participants in the Via ferrata can not participate if they have not signed a waiver.

Fálkaklettur Via ferrata operates under and is subject to Icelandic law. These terms and conditions and the relationship between us and its customers is governed by Icelandic law. Any claim or action against us is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Iceland. Claims may only be brought in the District Court of Reykjavik with appeal as applicable.
